This box includes Scarpa 2015 Casascarpa Barbera d’Asti that brings old school Italian style with punchy black currants, dusty sage and a rustic, cranberry tang to compliment any meal. Please also enjoy Chateau Les Barraillots, as is the last small and independent wine producer in the village of Margaux and one of only a few “Crus Artisans” in the Margaux appellation. The average vine age is 40 years and the 2018 varietal mix is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc/Petit Verdot. Great for heart-warming stews, cured meats and aged cheese. Finishing with Saint Cosme 2019 Crozes Hermitage that is pure, classic Northern Rhône with notes of violets, bacon fat and smokey meat. Fruit driven with complexity and depth to boot. Pair with soups, sauces and poultry.
